The essential lead is a minimalist version of our standard lead. Using 1 ply of 1″ tubular mil-spec webbing, this lead is durable and compact. Law Enforcement Officers love this lead because it’s small enough to stow easily in any pocket while still being fully functional. As a lighter weight version of our Standard Lead, it’s also a popular option with civilians.
It comes in 4ft or 6ft lengths and has a large 7″ long handle. Utilizing heavy duty 1” mil-spec tubular webbing that’s strength rated to 4,000 lbs, it is quick-drying, mold and mildew resistant and extremely durable.
Our integrated 1.5″ clip-in point at the clip end of the lead allows the handler to use a standard climbing carabiner as a backup clip-in option if desired.
